SUPPORTED Agencies / People
Des & Lynn Harper - OM
After working over the years with OM on ships, in India and Pakistan, and in the UK and Ireland, Des and Lynne are moving to Sheffield, seconded by OM to a church plant team including younger professionals and semi-retired mission folk reaching out to Muslim communities. In this season of life as they move closer to family and grandkids, they've been excited to see how the Lord has opened up this fitting community-based ministry. We continue to support them during this transition time and through 2019.
Paul & Kate McFarland - Baptist Missions
As part of the Association of Baptist Churches in Ireland we continue to support the mission department – Baptist Missions. We currently direct our support to Paul and Kate who are working in Youghal, County Cork. Baptist Missions strategy is working with existing Baptist churches in Europe, Peru and Ireland, to reach out and plant new churches, and to help those existing and new churches to grow and develop spiritually and numerically.

Scripture Union NI
The Scripture Union movement began with a man called Josiah Spiers explaining to children how Jesus loves them; since then the heart for helping children, young people and families know God has spread across the world. We do this through schools work and summer camps. Phil Howe who is a member of GBC is the Resources Manager of SUNI.
SIM Serving in Mission
We are the UK branch of SIM, an international organisation with more than 1,600 missionaries serving in over 60 countries. Our members serve God among many diverse people groups in Africa, Asia, and South America. SIM members are international themselves, representing over 30 nationalities — including nations that in the past only received missionaries. They also serve in a wide variety of career fields. The SIM family can use people of every ethnicity who have almost any skill imaginable! Mike Ewan who is a member of GBC heads up the work of SIM here in Ireland.

Rabboni Mercy Trust - India
This is a small Northern Ireland charity which Mike & Shona Ewan are involved with. It supports the work of Pastor Raja & his wife Jebasheela in Bangalore, India. They run churches in Bangalore and Whitefield and are church planting in surrounding Hindu villages. They operate a school in Whitefield and have many other ministries including the training of pastors and the care of orphans. It is particularly the care of orphan children that we are helping to resource, but through this we see an impact on their other ministries too. As a church we want to partner with them in the work they do. More information is available from Mike & Shona.
